CNC router delivery depends primarily on machine size and site access. Larger machines may require HIAB delivery, while smaller machines can be delivered by curtain-side vehicle.
Delivery requirements for Lumi fibre laser machinery vary by model, size and configuration. Our Operations team will confirm the applicable delivery method before your machine arrives.
Important: If your delivery requires curtain-side offloading, please make sure the agreed forklift and any required fork extensions are available when the machine arrives. If you are unsure what applies to your order, contact our Operations team before delivery.
Access from the unloading point to the final machine location should be considered before delivery. Door widths, turning space, floor condition, gradients and surrounding equipment can all affect how machinery is moved safely into place.
For larger CNC routers and Lumi fibre laser systems, positioning is normally planned around controlled movement using suitable handling equipment. The exact approach is confirmed for the machine and site before delivery.
Make sure the route from the unloading area to the final machine position is ready and clear.
Once your machine is in its agreed position, an experienced Opus CNC engineer completes the installation and commissioning relevant to the machine supplied.
Our engineer connects the CNC router to the prepared electrical supply, installs the agreed machine equipment and completes commissioning before training begins.
For Lumi PRO and Lumi ULTRA systems, our engineer completes the installation, electrical connection, initial setup and commissioning required before the machine is handed over for training.
Fibre laser gas supplies: Lumi fibre laser cutting systems require the appropriate external gas supply for the intended application. Please discuss oxygen, nitrogen, pressure and connection requirements with our Operations team before delivery so the site is ready.
Good preparation helps avoid delays on installation day. Your exact requirements will depend on the machine ordered, so always follow the information provided for your specific installation.
Check entrances, internal routes, turning space and the final machine position.
Ensure the required isolator and electrical provision are in place before installation.
Have any agreed forklift, fork extensions or other handling arrangements ready.
Allow suitable space and services for the extraction and vacuum equipment supplied with your setup.
Where applicable, arrange the specified cutting gases, regulators and connections in advance.
Leave the agreed clearance around the machine for operation, access, safeguarding and servicing.
Training is included with Opus CNC machinery and is adapted to the experience of the people who will operate the machine.
New users can be taken through the fundamentals at a manageable pace, while experienced operators can focus more heavily on machine functions, workflow and areas specific to their application.
Handover is not the end of the process. Existing Opus CNC customers can continue to access technical assistance, servicing and practical support from our team after installation.
