Yes, we carry out demonstrations in two ways:
Firstly, we can organise a demo with one of our engineers in our studio based in Durham. We recommend spending some time with the machine, and you also get to meet our team to get a feel for our experience and knowledge. Demonstrations are available throughout the week and even at weekends. All demos must be made by appointment.
Secondly, if it isn’t possible to travel, we can organise a local demonstration at a customer who has the same machine. This type of demo will generally involve meeting one of our engineers on-site. It is also an opportunity to receive impartial feedback from our customer.
Due to the Covid-10 outbreak, we are restricting customer site demos until further notice. This is to ensure safety is met for both our customers and staff.
Yes, we work in partnership with Anglo Scottish Finance and with their focused business approach means their processes are far quicker than banks or other institutions. Also, they can deliver a finance approval in hours, rather than weeks.
We can also provide finance quotations on all our machines to give a guideline to costs. These prices are naturally subject to status.
We know the importance of health and safety in all industries. More so in education, where we understand how little fingers can wander. This is why we fitted all of our laser cutter machines with proximity sensors. Once you close the lid on the Oculus laser cutters, these sensors automatically stop the laser should anyone lift the cover. Furthermore, within the inclusive training package, all aspects of health and safety are covered from risk assessment to getting the best from your machine.
With all Oculus lasers, we include a pre-set parameter database. This database enables the user to select their material without having to remember settings each time they use the laser machine. This allows children, and of course, teachers to use the laser confidently, each time.
Within classrooms, we understand it is not always possible to extract the laser outside. Therefore, we joined up with BOFA International to supply standalone filtration units. These units connect to our Oculus lasers and filter directly.
All of our machines come with CE certification and declaration of conformity.
As a rule, we tend to stock the popular size Oculus laser machines, Olympus CNC routers and Pegasus ATC router machines. For all stock machines, the lead time for delivery and installation is approximately 1 week and for all non-stock machines we would estimate between 8 and 10 weeks. Bespoke CNC routers take between 8 and 12 weeks depending on individual requirements.

Delivery, installation and training generally takes one day for the Oculus laser cutters. The Olympus CNC and Pegasus ATC routers take between two and three days.
After your install, we give you the engineers’ direct contact number. This leaves you with the confidence of always having a direct point of contact. Also, we have a team of dedicated aftercare support engineers who are office-based and are available for additional support. Our support team are also available by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Free email and telephone support are guaranteed for the lifespan of your machine. Once the original parts and labour warranty has expired, you can either pay-as-you-go or chose to extend your warranty. We tailor maintenance packages to suit many circumstances. You can chose to extend warranties annually or up to five years to cover parts, labour or both. Additionally, you can take out the cover when you purchase your machine or once the warranty is no longer valid.
We certainly offer annual services on all of our machines. The yearly service consists of a full check-up of mechanical and electrical components.
Services we carry out on the Oculus lasers entails a full cleaning, alignment correction, oiling and bed level. CNC router services are slightly more detailed due to their components. We carry out a thorough check of mechanical and electrical components, checking bearings, squaring of bed, calibration and vacuum suction, along with general cleaning of the machine.
We recommend servicing your machine once a year to minimise future downtime and to maximise efficiency and productivity.
Yes, we would firstly diagnose and troubleshoot over the telephone and recommend the most suitable solution. As our engineers have vast experience with various brand machinery, we currently help many customers who were unable to receive the right level of support from their previous supplier.
We also stock many parts for other brand machines, allowing for a faster turnaround of repairs where necessary.
